Created and run by Gavin Nicklette, Heirloom Home Services (“HHS”) helps households and businesses by taking care of services like their cleaning and general housekeeping, allowing them to spend their time on other things instead.

Gavin, a professional jazz pianist/singer, previously worked as a cleaner in a housekeeping department whilst concurrently studying music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. The great pandemic of 2020 saw arts performance income streams dry up quicker than sanitiser does on your hands and resulted in Gavin starting HHS – originally intended as a small side business.

All initial clients were originally domestic cleans, with word quickly spreading about Gavin’s extremely high attention to detail, superb work ethic and reliability. An instant success, Gavin worked with a business coach in 2020 to focus on his goals, possibilities and direction with HHS. A side business grew into his main business, with Gavin personally training other sole traders to deliver the same high standard cleans – allowing people and businesses to excitedly come off our waiting list and become long-term clients.

All of HHS’ success has been achieved via word of mouth recommendations from existing clients without the need to advertise.

We’ve discovered that cleaning (surprisingly) can’t always be done by just anyone. Cleaning is physically demanding work, sometimes required to be completed at inconvenient hours in order for our clients to be able to achieve an uninterrupted working day and also needs the person to have a high level of attention to detail.
